Do NOT Think BIG! (Think Small)

Everybody tells that if you want to succeed, THINK BIG!

Listen, everybody is trying to tell you how to think and what to believe. Be careful of what you put into your mind. It could be dangerous!

If you are going to believe something, first, try to understand it and then believe it if you want.

The problem with thinking big is that most people have no clue how it is going to help them grow. Thinking or dreaming big does not manifest anything into our real life. Try to sit and think about a big house, with 10 cars, pools, 5 jets… etc. You may only get a good feeling for a moment and then it ends.

Warren Buffet once in an interview said:

“If you are a guy without a job and money, Don’t aim for 1 million dollars. Instead, aim for getting a job first and go from there…”.

Warren Buffet

Don’t try to think big. Think about your next step and focus on reaching the goal that is within reach. When you get there then set your next goal.

Thinking big does not make sense when you are just about to start your journey.

Set a goal that is REAL, that you know is within reach and you know you can reach it, and you have a perfect clue how exactly you are going to reach it and you have strong feelings about it. I cannot emphasize enough how important this kind of goal setting is.

A small goal, hard but reachable, you are on the way to reach it and you just need to push a bit harder, you want it very bad and you have strong feelings about it that you cannot stop thinking about it… That is the kind of goal you want to set. And that is the kind of goal that gives you energy and will help you grow and reach your potential.

Nothing is more powerful than that.

When you get used to that and you start getting momentum, then you can start setting bigger goals and thinking bigger. Because you already know how goal setting works for you. I am not against thinking big and dreaming big. But it is not good advice for someone who is at the starting line and his mindset still needs training.

I can tell you one thing. If you don’t have STRONG FEELINGS about your goal and you don’t think and get hyped about it everyday, that is NOT the right goal. Set a goal that starts FIRE in you. And most of the time, fire does not come from a big and unreachable goal.

Have Faith!
